Midmar Kirk Stone Circle, Aberdeenshire
The church of Midmar Kirk was built around this stone circle which occupies a corner of the churchyard. The ground is not level, and you can see the careful levelling of the recumbent with packing stones at the rear. In the forest nearby there is another standing stone hidden among the trees.
