| This monument was constructed in three phases. The mound furthest
away in the picture was constructed around 3750-3500 BC, followed by a central chamber,
which has largely collapsed. The latest chamber to be constructed is the eastern chamber
in the foreground of this picture, with two capstones (one is supported by a modern plinth
added in the 1977 excavation). |
