Carn Gluze Barrow, Cornwall

Carn Gluze Barrow, Cornwall
Carn Gluze in the sea fog

Also known as Ballowall Barrow, this is set in an atmospheric coastal site with an ocean view over to Cape Cornwall. It's also susceptible ot sea fog.

It was rather overenthusiastically restored by the Victorian antiquarian William Copeland Borlase. As English Heritage say "These later alterations make the barrow hard to understand – the idiosyncratic form of the monument today has little do with its original appearance, which would have been much more dramatic."
